Goodwill Apparels

We are located at 11 A Kottai Thottam, which is right near Sivan Theatre North. Being so close to the theatre means we always know when a new movie is playing because of the crowds and the music. It’s a lively part of the area. Goodwill Apparels is a straightforward place. We have the iron gates at the front and a small yard where we sometimes dry the fabric if the sun is out. The building itself has been around for a long time. We have several sewing stations set up inside. It gets quite loud when all the machines are going at once, but we are used to it by now. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of thread and fabric by noon. We try to keep it tidy, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We don't have any big corporate plans; we just want to finish the batches we have on the table. The tea stall on the corner is where we spend our breaks. Everyone in the neighborhood knows us because we’ve been at this Kottai Thottam spot for so long. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stand, but it’s a good location for us. Our days are spent keeping our heads down and working on whatever needs to be shipped out next. The heat can be tough, but we have some old fans that do the trick.
