Goodwill Apparels is based at 11-A Kottai Thottam. If you know the area, we are quite close to the Sivan Theatre. It’s a familiar landmark for everyone around here. Our workshop is tucked away and we’ve been operating from this location for quite some time now. We focus on making clothes, mainly doing the stitching and assembly that keeps a business like this going. It’s a bit of a crowded space because we try to fit as many machines as possible to keep up with the work. The theater nearby always has people coming and going, so there’s a bit of life in the street outside our doors. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of the needles and the fans blowing. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles. We just have a small group of people who know how to sew and handle fabric. We don't use any high-end marketing talk because that’s not really who we are. We just take the orders, do the work, and send them out. Sometimes we have to work through the weekends if there’s a big pile of stuff to finish, but that’s just how the garment trade works. It's a practical, no-nonsense setup and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time without any need for big changes. We just show up every morning and see what the day’s work looks like for us and the crew here at Kottai Thottam.
