Goldfinch Apparels is located over at No. 3/6 Nethaji S T in Gandhi Nagar. If you know Ondipudur, we’re right opposite the Khadir Mills. It’s a good spot because the mill is such a big landmark, so people don’t usually get lost trying to find our door. We’ve been operating out of this space for some time now. It’s not a huge office, just a practical place where we handle all the daily work. The area around Gandhi Nagar stays fairly active, especially with the mill workers and locals moving about throughout the day. We handle mostly clothes and garments here. It involves a lot of folding, packing, and checking orders. My desk is usually covered in papers and fabric samples. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we know where everything is kept. The sun hits the front of the shop in the late afternoon, which makes it feel a bit warm, so we keep the ceiling fans going all day. We don’t really do any big advertising or social media; we just stay busy with the work that comes in from our regulars. Most of our neighbors are also working people, so there's a nice, honest sense of community in Ondipudur. It’s a plain building, nothing flashy to look at, but it serves us well for what we need to do. We just try to get through the orders on time and keep the quality decent enough.
