Glorious Wear

Glorious Wear is tucked away in Rayapuram on 7th Street in Vinayagapuram. We are up on the first floor at No. 21/11A. If you see the Psp Quarters, you are pretty much there. It’s a neighborhood where a lot of people know each other. The shop floor has a few sewing machines and a large cutting table in the middle. We spend most of our time there. It’s not a corporate office. There is fabric lying around in piles and the sound of machines humming all day. We try to keep things organized but it gets messy when we have a big order to finish. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow. Sometimes the lighting in the street isn't great at night, but we are usually done by then. We’ve been at this location for a while. The neighbors are mostly families and other small shops. We just focus on the clothes. It’s a lot of cutting and stitching. Sometimes the iron gets too hot and we have to wait. We take our tea breaks together. It’s a very local feel here. Nothing fancy or polished about it. We just do the work that comes in. If you walk past, you can hear the clicking of the machines from the street. It is a steady pace most weeks. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is on the table.
