Our factory is located on Itteri Road in Sulur, specifically at number 1 Kanayam Palayam. It’s a place where we spend most of our waking hours dealing with knitting machines and yarn. Making hosiery is a lot of repetitive work, but someone has to do it. The floor is usually covered in little bits of lint and thread, no matter how much we sweep. We aren't trying to be some global brand that everyone talks about. We just supply what people need for their shops or daily use. The machines have their own rhythm and it gets quite loud when they're all running at once. We’ve got a small group of workers who have been here since the beginning. They know exactly how to tension the machines so the fabric comes out right. It’s a practical business. We don't do much in the way of advertising because we’re usually too busy keeping up with the orders we already have. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, but that’s just part of working here. We just try to get the bundles packed and ready for the trucks. It’s simple, honest manufacturing work here in Sulur, and that suits us just fine. We don't bother with anything that isn't necessary for the job. Our focus is just on the knitting and getting the stockings and socks out to the people who need them.
