Gangai Garments

Gangai Garments is situated at No. 217/1 in Gangai Gardens. We are right on the Kovilipalayam Road, which is part of the Sirupooluvapatti post office area here in Tirupur. The road gets quite a lot of trucks and tractors moving through, especially during the harvest or when the big mills are busy. Our place is easy to spot because of the name of the garden area. Inside, it's mostly just rows of machines and a big table for checking the finished pieces. We don't spend much time on decorating the place because there’s always another batch of garments that needs attention. The crew here is mostly locals from around the Sirupooluvapatti area. We start early before the sun gets too hot, though the tin roof still lets the heat in by mid-afternoon. It’s a practical environment. We have some storage in the back for the raw cloth and the thread. Most days are spent making sure the seams are straight and the counts are right. It’s not a complicated life, just steady work in a part of Tirupur that’s always on the move. Sometimes we sit outside for a break when the breeze picks up near the road. We’ve been at this location for a good while now and everyone knows the routine. It’s just a regular garment unit doing what it does best without any extra fuss or worry.
