G. S. M. Creations

You can find G. S. M. Creations over at 25/B in the Thaneerpandhal Colony East area. It’s part of the Annuparpalayam Post district. Our workshop is a plain building where we do all the cutting and sewing. It’s a local operation, nothing too big or complicated. We spend our mornings sorting through the fabric that arrives and then the rest of the day is spent at the machines. The colony is usually pretty calm, though you hear the neighbors' machines running too. We have a few big tables for laying out the cloth and some racks for the finished items. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of orders at once. We don't spend money on advertising; we just rely on people knowing we are here and do the work. The floor is concrete and we try to keep it clean, but there’s always lint everywhere. We have a small break in the middle of the day for lunch and some tea. Then it’s back to the sewing until the sun goes down. It’s a regular life and we’ve been doing this for a long time. We just try to make sure the clothes are put together right and that we don't waste too much material. It’s simple work but it takes a lot of attention to get it done.
