Frontier Fashions

Our place is at No. 113 inside the S. R. C Mill Compound. It is right on Uttukuli Road, and the easiest way to tell people where we are is by mentioning the old Hero Honda showroom that used to be nearby. Everyone remembers that spot. The compound itself is pretty big and there are other businesses around us. We have a lot of space for our clothes. It is an old building, so it has that smell of dust and fabric that you get in this trade. We spend a lot of our time moving things back and forth from the trucks that pull up. The road outside, Uttukuli Road, is always busy with people heading into the main part of town. We get a lot of noise from the traffic. Inside Frontier Fashions, we have long tables where we sort through the stock. It is not a showroom where you come to browse, it is more of a place where the actual work happens. We have fans on the ceiling that creak a little bit, but they keep us cool enough when it gets humid. Sometimes we lose track of time because there are not many windows in the back part of the shop. We just stay until the work is finished for the day. It is a practical setup. Nothing fancy, just a lot of clothes and people working hard to get them out the door. We have been at this compound for years.
