You can find us at No. 30-A Swarnabala Layout, on the 2nd Street in Ondipudur. It’s a quiet residential sort of neighborhood, so our little apparel unit fits right in. We’ve been here for a bit now, just doing our thing with clothing and garments. The building is a simple one, and we use most of the space for cutting and stitching. We don’t have any big signs or flashing lights outside. If you didn’t know we were here, you might just walk right past us. Inside, it’s a lot of hard work. We have a few machines and some long tables for laying out the cloth. It’s not always perfectly clean because there’s always lint and scraps everywhere when you’re making clothes. That’s just the nature of the business. We don’t have a fancy office for meetings. If someone comes by, we usually just talk to them right there on the work floor. Ondipudur is a nice enough place to work, and being on 2nd Street means we don’t get too much through traffic. We just show up every morning, drink our tea, and get to work on whatever orders are on the list for that day. It’s a modest operation, but it keeps us busy. We aren't looking to change much. We just like making clothes and being part of the local scene here. It works for us and keeps the bills paid. It’s a decent life.
