Elloraa Knit Fashion

Our place is at No. 18 in the Aituc Colony, II Street. This is in Karumarampalayam, near the Mannarai Post office. It’s a quiet enough street for the most part. Elloraa Knit Fashion is a small operation. We mostly focus on knitted items, as the name suggests. The building we’re in is pretty basic, just a workshop where we keep the machines and the yarn. We’ve been in this part of Karumarampalayam for quite some time now. Many of us have grown up around here or lived here for years. It’s not a fancy corporate office with glass walls or anything. It’s just a place with sturdy floors and plenty of light for working. We spend a lot of time making sure the machines are running right. Sometimes they break down and we have to spend the morning fixing them, which is frustrating but it happens. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make decent knitwear that people can actually use. The neighborhood is mostly other small businesses and houses, so it feels like home to us. On rainy days, the sound on the roof is quite loud, but we just keep working. We don't have a big team, just a few people who know what they’re doing. It’s a simple business, and we like it that way.
