We spend a lot of time here at 18A8, High School Road in Komarapalayam. It's a busy part of Thiruchengode, and the noise from the street usually matches the sound of our machines inside Dineshraja Spintex India Private Limited. Most of us have been working in spinning for a long time, so we don't think much about the lint in the air anymore. It is just part of the job. In the mornings, we unlock the gate and get the spindles moving. There isn't anything fancy about how we do things. We just make sure the yarn is coming out right and the workers are staying busy. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait a bit, which is just how it goes around here. People know us as a local spot where the work gets done without a lot of fuss. We get our shipments out when they are ready and try to keep things organized on the floor, though it gets a bit messy by the end of the shift. It is a plain way of living, but we like being right here near the high school. You can see the kids walking by while we load the trucks. It makes the day feel regular. We don't have a big office or anything, just a desk near the front where we keep the books and take calls. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
