We are over here at 8/252D in Periyar Colony. It’s right on KPR Mill Road, which stays pretty busy most of the day with all the trucks and people moving around. If you’re looking for us, we’re in the Annuparpalayam area. Most people just know the post office nearby. It’s not a huge place, just a regular setup where we do our work. Some days it gets quite hot under the roof, but we just keep the fans going and get on with things. My cousin helps out sometimes when there is a lot of cutting to do. We’ve been at this spot for a bit now. You can usually hear the machines running from the street if the traffic is quiet for a second. We don’t have fancy signs or anything like that. It’s just Cs Fashions on the door. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up from the mills. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. There’s a tea shop just down the road where we grab something during the break. It’s a simple life here. We just focus on the pieces we have to finish by the weekend. Sometimes people drop by just to ask for directions because they get lost looking for the mill, but that’s just how it is in Annuparpalayam. Our focus is mostly on the stitching we have to finish.
