Cindrella Fashions

Cindrella Fashions is a small place located at No. 452/2 on the Housing Unit Main Road. It’s a simple building where we do all our work. We started out with just a couple of machines and a lot of fabric scraps lying around. Now, the place is full of rolls of cloth and patterns pinned to the walls. It isn't a high-end boutique with bright lights and mirrors everywhere. It’s more of a workshop where you can hear the hum of the sewing machines most of the afternoon. We spend our mornings cutting fabric and our afternoons putting things together. Sometimes the thread gets tangled or a machine breaks down, and we have to spend an hour fixing it ourselves. The floor is usually covered in bits of string and cloth by the end of the day. We have a small table in the corner where we drink tea and go over the sketches. It’s a practical space. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address on the door. People from the housing unit often stop by to see what we are making. We keep things simple and just focus on the clothes we have to finish. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work, but it feels good to see a pile of finished pieces ready to go at the end of the week. We just do our best with what we have here.
