Classic Apparel

You can find Classic Apparel at SF No. 86/1 in Kaniyampoondi. We are out in the Vanjipalayam PO area, on the way toward Mangalam. It’s a bit further out than some of the other shops, but it’s where we have our space. We handle a lot of different apparel tasks here. The building is more of a workshop than a fancy store. We have rows of machines and people working on different parts of the garments. It’s noisy and there’s always the hum of the motors in the background. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the clothes that come through our doors. Most of the people working here live in the nearby villages and we’ve all become a bit like a family over the years. We take our breaks together and talk about the weather or whatever is happening in town. The road outside can get a bit dusty during the dry season, but we keep the doors open to get a breeze. It’s a very practical, hands-on environment. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just solid work that keeps the business moving. Sometimes we have to rush to finish an order before the pickup, but usually, we keep a steady pace. We've been here for several years now and the routine hasn't changed much. Every morning we start with a quick check of the machines and then the sewing begins.
