Cardwell Manufacturing Co. is situated on Kamaraj Road in Peelamedu. We’ve been using Post Box No 1652 for so many years that it’s almost part of our name. Our facility at 474 is a place where you can definitely tell that things are being made. There’s the smell of cut metal and the steady rhythm of the machines that you can feel in the floorboards. It’s an old-school way of doing things, but it’s what we know. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to polish up our image. Most of our staff have been with us since they were young, and they know the equipment better than they know their own cars. It’s not a clean, white-laboratory kind of place. It’s a workshop where people sweat and get their clothes stained. We have a lot of history in this part of Coimbatore, and we’ve seen the city change quite a bit around us. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, which is showing up on time and making sure the machines are running right. We don't have big meetings to talk about the future; we just focus on the orders we have today. It’s a practical, no-nonsense way to run a business, and it keeps our feet on the ground.
