Canmus Textiles (Opc) Private Limited

Down in Porur, specifically in the Karambakkam area, is where we run Canmus Textiles (Opc) Private Limited. We are located at P.No-68, D.No-4/96, on 1st Cross Street in Rajeshwari Nagar. It is a residential neighborhood mostly, so it is pretty quiet compared to the main roads of Chennai. This is a one-person type of company structure, so things are kept very simple and direct. I handle most of the day-to-day stuff myself, from taking orders to making sure they actually get delivered to the customers. The office is really just a room set up for business. I have got some shelves for samples and a desk that usually has way too many papers on it. Textile work in Chennai is competitive, but being in Porur gives me a bit of space to breathe. I do not have a big staff or a fleet of trucks. It is just me and occasionally some help when things get really backed up during the festive seasons. Most of my time is spent talking to weavers or checking on the quality of the fabric I am sourcing. Sometimes I get stuck in the Porur traffic, which can be a nightmare, but that is part of the job. I have been at this address for a while now and the neighbors are used to seeing rolls of cloth being moved in and out. It is not a glamorous life, but it keeps me busy.
