Burhani Steels

We are tucked away in 219-E of the Taiyeb Complex. This is on Rangakonar Street, right in the heart of Kattoor. If you know the area, you know it’s a hub for all sorts of metalwork and industrial stuff. Our shop is mostly filled with steel rods, plates, and offcuts. There is always the sound of metal hitting metal coming from somewhere nearby. It’s a heavy environment. The floor is concrete and usually covered in a bit of oil or iron filings. We have been in Taiyeb Complex for years and the neighbors are all doing similar work. It’s not a place for suits and ties. We wear work clothes that get stained pretty fast. The office is just a small partitioned area with a fan that makes a bit too much noise. We spend our days measuring things, loading up trucks, and talking to contractors who need specific pieces for their jobs. Kattoor is a busy place, and Rangakonar Street can get cramped when the big lorries try to turn the corners. We don’t really do any fancy advertising. Most people just know we are here because they’ve seen us working on the same street for decades. It’s hard work, and by the end of the shift, we are usually pretty tired, but the steel doesn't move itself. We just keep at it and make sure the orders are ready by the time the sun sets over the complex.
