Bright Castings

Our place is over at 115 V K Road in the Peelamedu area. We've been in B R Puram for quite some time now. Casting work is what we do every day. It’s a lot of heat and heavy molds, but that’s just how it is. The shop floor is usually covered in sand and bits of metal. We don't really have a showroom. People just come straight to the workshop when they need something made. We start early before it gets too hot outside. It’s a local operation, mostly just a handful of guys working the floor. We handle different types of castings depending on what the local industries are asking for. V K Road can get pretty busy with trucks, so getting things delivered takes some planning. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here. It’s just steady work. We fix the machines when they break and keep the furnace going. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big batch needs to be finished. We try to stay organized, but in a foundry, things get messy fast. It’s a practical business. We’ve stayed in this spot because it works for us. Most of our neighbors are also in some kind of trade. It’s a good community and we fit in well enough. We just keep working and doing what needs to be done.
