Balu Engineering

Our shop is at 240 Irugur Road. If you are driving through Chiniyampalayam, you will see us there right on the side of the road. It’s an engineering place, so there is almost always some kind of machine running or someone welding something in the back yard. We have been in this location for quite some time now. The road gets a lot of heavy trucks passing by, which makes sense for an industrial area like this. It is mostly a hands-on environment. We don’t have a front desk person or a waiting lounge for visitors. If you walk in, you’ll probably find Balu or one of the guys covered in a bit of grease or metal dust. That is just how it goes when you’re fixing things or making parts from scratch. We keep all our tools organized, or at least we try to, but things get messy when we are busy. The building itself is old but it serves its purpose for the engineering work we do every day. On hot days, we leave the big front doors wide open to catch whatever breeze comes off the road. It can get a bit noisy with the traffic and the drills, but we are used to it by now. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years because they know exactly where we are. We don't change things up much. We just show up, do the work, and close the iron shutters at the end of the day. It’s a simple life for us here.
