Babu Engineering Foundary

Babu Engineering Foundary is located at 287, Papampatti Road in Bharathipuram. We’re right by the Kannampalayam P.O., which makes it easy to give directions. We’ve been running this foundry for a good while now, and it’s hard work every single day. The heat from the melting pots is something you never really get used to, especially in the summer. We don’t have any big corporate signs or a fancy lobby. It’s just the workshop and a small room where we keep the books. Most of our work is for other local businesses that need castings. We use sand molds mostly, so there’s always sand on your boots and in your hair by the end of the shift. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundry in the state. We just want to do enough work to keep everyone paid and the lights on. The building is old and the paint is peeling, but the equipment inside works just fine. We have a few guys who have been with us for twenty years. They don't need to be told what to do. We don't have a lot of meetings or talk about strategy. We just look at what needs to be poured and we get to it. It’s a simple life, but it’s honest work that we understand. It’s sweaty and tiring, but we’re used to it after all this time.
