Assisi Garments

Our business, Assisi Garments, is located in Kulthapalayam, which is over in the Avinashi area. It is a bit of a quieter place compared to the big city centers. We have a nice space here where we do all our sewing and packing. The air is a bit fresher out this way, and we have some space around the building. Most of the people who work here live close by in the village or the surrounding fields. We start our day when the sun comes up and usually finish before it gets too dark. The room where we work has big doors that we leave open to let the air circulate. We have stacks of different colored cloths sitting on the shelves. It is a very hands-on process here. We don't use a lot of fancy automation; it is mostly just us and the machines. Avinashi is known for this kind of work, so we are in the right place. Sometimes the cows from the nearby farm wander onto the path leading to our door, and we have to shoo them away. It is just part of the daily life in Kulthapalayam. We don't have a lot of visitors, but we stay busy with the orders that come in. We focus on getting the stitching straight and making sure everything is packed correctly. It is a steady way of life and we have been doing it this way for years now.
