Asian Steels

We are located at Plot No.7 on R K R Road in Udumalpet. The Iyyapan Temple is just down the way, so we hear the bells ringing sometimes during the day. This is a steel yard, so expect to see a lot of metal stacked up everywhere. It’s heavy, dirty work and our hands are usually covered in grit by the time lunch rolls around. We’ve got iron rods, sheets, and all kinds of structural stuff lying in the yard. The sun beats down on the metal, making it hot to the touch in the summer. We have a small shed where we keep the records and a few chairs for visitors. It’s not a fancy place to look at. My father set this up because he knew people always needed building materials. We don't have a website or a sales team. If someone needs steel, they drive their truck down R K R Road and talk to us directly. We use a lot of manual labor to move things around, though we have a small crane for the really heavy bits. The neighborhood is mostly industrial, so we fit right in. We don't make big claims about being the biggest or anything. We just sell steel and try to keep our accounts straight. It’s a steady life and we are happy to be part of the Udumalpet community for so many years now.
