As Traders

Shakti Nagar is where we set up. We are at 562, right in the middle of things in Kattukudalur. It’s mostly about trading here. We deal with a lot of bulk items, so you’ll see plenty of bags and boxes piled up near the entrance. It gets a bit crowded inside when the new stock arrives. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists. It’s not the kind of shop where you come to browse. People usually know what they want before they even step foot inside. We handle a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves. The floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. Kattukudalur can get quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a bit of a slow down then. The office part is just a desk and some chairs where we sit to do the accounts. It’s a simple operation. We don’t have fancy displays or bright lights. Just the stuff people need for their own businesses or big projects. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time backing into the space, but we manage. It’s been our routine for a long time now. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure nobody is waiting too long. That’s pretty much how a day goes for us at As Traders.
