Balu Exports

Balu Exports is located at 60-A5 on Palladam Road. It’s a pretty straightforward setup we have here. We deal with exports, which means there are always boxes being taped up and pallets being moved around. The road outside can get quite busy with trucks and bikes, so we have to be careful when we’re loading things up. Inside, it’s mostly warehouse space with a small corner for the desk and the phone. We spend a lot of time checking lists to make sure everything going out is exactly what was asked for. Errors are a pain to fix once things are on a ship, so we try to be careful. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of dust and the fans don’t always keep the place cool in the afternoon heat. Most of the guys here have been working on Palladam Road for a long time. We know the neighbors and the local tea stall guy pretty well. We don't have a big sign or anything. If you’re looking for us, you just find the number on the gate. It’s a working building, meant for moving goods from one place to another. We just keep the routine going, day after day, making sure the cargo gets where it needs to go. The weather here can be pretty unpredictable, so we’re always watching the sky when we have goods out on the loading dock.
