We’re over at 37 Karpaga Vinayagar Nagar. It’s near the 1st and 2nd Cross in MKP, up in the northern part of Coimbatore. The address is a bit long on paper, but it’s easy to find once you’re in the neighborhood. We handle international stuff, mostly involving trade and getting goods moved around. It sounds more complicated than it really is. Most days it’s just us sitting around the computers and making sure the paperwork is in order. Coimbatore is a hub for this kind of thing, so we fit right in. The office is a bit crowded with boxes and files. We’ve been meaning to organize the back room for months, but new shipments keep arriving. That’s the way it goes. We work with people from all over, which is interesting I suppose. You learn a lot about how things get from point A to point B. It’s not a polished corporate environment. We wear regular clothes and talk like normal people. If the phone rings, someone picks it up. If there’s a problem with a shipment, we call around until it’s fixed. It’s a practical business. We’re just a small group of people trying to keep things running smoothly in this part of Tamil Nadu. It’s not always easy, but we’ve been doing it long enough to know the ropes and the local shippers too.
