Our place is over in the Dhanas Industrial Complex. It’s right across from the Eswaran Koil on the main road in Nallur. If you know the area, you know it gets quite dusty with all the traffic. We’ve been operating out of this unit for several years now. It’s mostly just sewing machines and rolls of fabric piled up in the corners. We aren't a big showroom with glass windows. It's more of a working space where things actually get made. Usually, you’ll hear the hum of the machines before you even walk through the door. My brother and I run the daily operations here. We deal with a lot of local workers. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside by the road until it comes back on. That's just part of being in Kasipalayam. We don't really do much advertising. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they saw the sign while heading to the temple. The floors are concrete and we keep the doors open for the breeze. It's nothing fancy, just a straightforward garment unit. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching and making sure the boxes are packed right for the trucks. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We have a small tea stall nearby where we go for breaks.
