Anuj Fashion Fabrics is situated at No. 58 on Siriyan Church Road, No. 2, right in Coimbatore. This part of town is usually quite crowded with people and small shops. Our building is right in the thick of it. We spend most of our time looking at different types of fabrics and making sure the orders for the fashion trade are handled correctly. It’s not a large industrial estate; it’s more of an urban workspace. The stairs are a bit narrow and there’s always someone coming up or down with a bundle of cloth. We keep the windows open when we can, but the street noise is always there. It’s the kind of place where you know your neighbors by name. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. We just take the orders, check the stock, and get things shipped out to the customers. Most of us have been working in the textile market here for years. We know which fabrics are moving and which ones aren't. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for the generator to kick in so we can get back to work. It’s a simple, everyday business. There’s no polish here, just stacks of fabric and people trying to get their work done before the end of the day. We are just one of many small offices in this busy part of Coimbatore.
