Aadams Hosieries

Aadams Hosieries is located right on Oppanakara Street, up on the second floor of building number 434. It is a busy part of the city, so there is always noise coming up from the street below. We have been working out of this space for quite some time now. To get to us, you have to climb a few flights of stairs because there isn’t a lift that stays working for long. The space itself is packed with boxes and bundles of stock, mostly because we don’t like leaving things sitting around for too long. It is not the most modern setup you will ever see. We use a lot of old wooden shelves and our desks are pushed up against the windows to get a bit of natural light. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we just keep working by the windows until it comes back on. It is a small team here, mostly family and a couple of people we have known for years. We handle the orders, pack the bags, and make sure everything is ready for the morning. We do not do much in the way of advertising because people usually find us by word of mouth or by just seeing the address on a package. It is a simple life and a simple business, which is exactly how we like to keep it. The tea guy comes by every day around four, and that is usually when we take our only real break.
