Fashion Concepts

Our place, Fashion Concepts, is located at No 10 on 1st Street in Sornapuri Avenue. We are over in the 15 Velampalayam area. It is a quiet enough street most days, though things pick up when the delivery vans arrive. We focus on making clothes and working through different designs. The workroom is usually humming with the sound of machines and people talking. We have a small group of workers who know their jobs well. We aren't a massive factory, just a local spot where things get made by hand. Sornapuri Avenue has changed a lot over the years, but we have stayed right here at number ten. Our walls are covered in patterns and notes about current jobs. It might look a bit messy to an outsider, but there is a system to it. We don't really have a sales team. People just find us through word of mouth or because they saw our address in the directory. We like it that way because it keeps things personal. Every morning we start with some tea and then get to the sewing and cutting. It’s a decent living and we take pride in the stuff we put together. If you are looking for us in Velampalayam, just head down 1st street and look for the blue door. We stay busy, but we always have time for a quick chat with neighbors.
