J.K. Cements Ltd.

You can find J.K. Cements Ltd. over at Af-6 in the Kailashnagar Colony. It’s part of the first colony here in Nimbahera, which sits in the Chittorgarh district. Life around the colony is pretty predictable, which is fine by us. We wake up, get to the office, and start looking at the logs. There’s always a lot of activity because cement is one of those things that never stops being needed. The building we’re in has seen a lot of seasons, and it shows a little bit, but it serves its purpose just fine. Most of us have been working here for years, so we don’t need to explain much to each other anymore. We just get on with it. The trucks roll in and out, and the noise becomes something you don’t even notice after a while. It’s a dusty job, and by the time five o’clock comes around, everyone is usually ready to head home and wash off the day. We aren't trying to be the loudest or the biggest; we just want to make sure the work gets handled properly. Dealing with the 312617 area means being part of a specific community. We see the same tea sellers and the same delivery guys every single day. It’s a rhythm that works for us, and we don’t see any reason to change it up much. It’s just honest work in a busy part of town and we like it that way.
