Wesley School

Wesley School is located right on Chellapillayar Koil Street in Royapettah. We are pretty close to the Annai Women's Hostel, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us at number 54. Chennai gets quite hot, especially in this part of town, but we’ve been here long enough that we don’t mind it much. The school is a busy place with kids coming and going all day. It’s a narrow street, so things can get a bit crowded during the morning drop-off times. We aren't a massive campus with huge fields, just a local school trying to do right by the families in the neighborhood. The building has its quirks, like any old place in Royapettah, but it serves us well. We have teachers who have been here for years and know the students by name. It’s not about being the fanciest school in Chennai, just about being a place where kids can learn their lessons and play in the courtyard. Sometimes the noise from the street carries inside, but that’s just part of being in the heart of the city. We keep the gates open during the day and there's always someone around to answer questions if a parent stops by. It’s a modest setup, nothing too grand, but it feels like home to most of us who work here every day. We just focus on the classes and the kids. That is how we spend our days.
