Vivekananda Vidhyalaya

Vivekananda Vidhyalaya is located on Madhavan Street in Chrompet, very close to the Kumaran Kunram temple. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood for the most part, and the school has been a part of this community for many years. The building is not very big, but we manage to fit all our classrooms and the main office into the space we have. Every morning, the street gets a bit crowded with kids arriving for school and parents dropping them off. It’s a narrow road, so things can get a bit tight during those times. Inside, the school is very simple. We have basic wooden desks and blackboards in every room. We don't have any air conditioning, but we have plenty of fans and large windows to let the breeze in. The teachers here are mostly people from the local area who have been with us for a long time. Many of them even taught the parents of some of our current students. During the lunch break, the whole place smells of home-cooked food as the kids open their tiffins in the classrooms. It’s a very regular, down-to-earth school where we focus on teaching the basics. We don't try to compete with the big private schools or use any fancy marketing. We just provide a steady place for local children to get their education in a way that feels like home.
