We are located at Srinivasa Nagar in Velachery, right on the 1st Cross Street at Plot Number 17. Dealing with seafood means our days start very early, usually before the sun is even up. We have to get the Vitamin Sea Food India (Opc) Private Limited office ready and check on the latest catch coming in. It’s a lot of cold storage work and making sure the temperature stays where it should be. The floors are usually a bit wet and there’s always a smell of the ocean around the place, which we have gotten used to by now. Velachery is a crowded area so getting the trucks in and out of the cross street can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of talk about fish prices and delivery times. We handle the paperwork and the logistics from this small spot. The neighbors know us as the seafood people. We try to keep things simple and just focus on getting the orders moved out to the markets and restaurants. It’s a messy job sometimes but someone has to do it. We have a small crew and we all pitch in with everything from answering the phone to helping with the heavy lifting when a big shipment arrives. That's life here for us.
