Topsea Sea Foods

We’re over at 20/1, down the 10th Lane on 1st Cross Street in Shastri Nagar. It’s a little corner of Adyar that we’ve called home for Topsea Sea Foods. Most days, it’s a lot of back and forth with suppliers and local markets. We don't have a big storefront with lights and displays. Instead, we have a workspace that stays pretty busy with the logistics of moving seafood. It’s a lot of logistics, honestly—making sure things stay cold and move fast enough. Sometimes the narrow lanes in Shastri Nagar make it a bit tricky for the larger vans to navigate, but we’ve learned the best times to schedule things. The office part of it is just a few desks and a lot of logbooks. We don't really use much fancy technology; we prefer writing things down so we don't lose track. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of stock coming in, but we manage to stay organized in our own way. We’re just local people doing a job we know how to do. You might see us out on the street chatting with the other shop owners or grabbing a coffee nearby. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We just show up, do the work, and go home. It’s a living, and it keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We don't need a fancy lobby to get the job done properly every single day for our customers.
