Our shop is located on 100 Feet Road in Parvath Nagar. It’s a pretty busy street with a lot of noise from the cars and bikes passing by all day. We start very early in the morning, usually before the sun is even up, because that’s when the fresh stock arrives from the coast. The place usually smells like the ocean, which some people don't like, but we've grown used to it over the years. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors and the counters because you have to keep everything tidy in this kind of business. It’s wet work, so we’re usually wearing rubber boots and thick aprons. We have some big freezers in the back that hum all day and night. Sometimes customers come in looking for something specific, and we have to go digging through the deep ice to find it for them. It's not a glamorous job at all. Your hands get cold and the work is hard on your back from all the bending. We have a few regulars who come by every week for their usual order. We chat about the weather or the price of things these days. The afternoon is usually the quietest time, so we take a quick break then. We don't have a big fancy storefront, just the basics. It’s a straightforward business. We buy what’s fresh, keep it cold, and sell it to whoever walks in. That’s pretty much the whole story of what we do here in Parvath Nagar. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively.
