Cresent Sea Food

Cresent Sea Food is right in the middle of Chindadripet at No. 24/1/1, Singanna Street. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s packed with people and small shops. Our place is no different. It’s a small space, but we pack a lot into it. The morning is the busiest time. We get the seafood in early and it has to be sorted and moved out fast. There’s always a lot of shouting and water on the floor. It’s a bit chaotic, but there’s a system to it that only we really understand. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign. The address on Singanna Street is enough for people to find us. The building itself is old, with high ceilings and narrow doorways. It gets quite humid inside during the summer months. We keep the fans running constantly, but they don't do much. We’ve known the other shopkeepers on this block for years. We share news and complain about the traffic together. It’s not a glamorous job, dealing with fish and ice all day long. Your clothes always end up smelling like the ocean by the time you go home. But it’s the work we know. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We’re just a seafood business trying to do an honest day's work in Chindadripet.
