Sri Balaji Sea Food

We are located at No 77 on Venkatesa Gramini Street. Being in Chindatripet means we are right near the big fish market. It makes sense because we do sea food here. We get our stock fresh every morning since the market is just a short walk away. It’s a small shop, nothing too big or flashy. Chennai gets hot, and our street is always moving with people and carts. We’ve been in the 600002 area for quite some time now. People know us for being straightforward. We don't have a fancy interior, just some chairs and tables that have seen better days but are still strong. I work here with two of my cousins. We do the cleaning ourselves and make sure the fish is handled right. You can smell the ocean and the spices when you walk down Venkatesa Gramini Street. It’s a lively neighborhood, even if it’s a bit cramped sometimes. We don't have a website or do any big ads. Word of mouth usually brings people in. If you are at the Chindatripet fish market, you are basically right there. We just cook what is available that day. Sometimes we have more variety, sometimes less, depending on the catch. It’s honest work and we like being part of this local community. It’s just how we live and work here in Chennai every day.
