L G Sea Foods

Our place is over at 61 Venkatesan Gramani Street. If you know the area, it’s a bit of a tight squeeze with the traffic, but we make it work. L G Sea Foods has been around for a while, dealing with what comes in from the coast. It’s a messy business, dealing with fish and the like, so we are always cleaning up or moving crates around. The smell is something you get used to after the first week. We start very early in the morning, usually while it’s still dark, to get the stock in. It’s just a small team here. We don’t have a big corporate office or anyone in suits. We wear boots and aprons mostly. The street outside is always lively, and we know most of the neighbors. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just want to do our jobs right and go home. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the narrow streets, which can be frustrating. We just handle it as it comes. It's a lot of physical labor, lifting heavy boxes and making sure everything stays cold. We don't have a marketing department or anything fancy like a social media manager. If you need us, you just come down to the street and look for our small sign near the gate. That’s how we’ve always done it since we started, and it seems to work out just fine.
