Vidyodaya School

We are over here at No.1, Thirumalai Road in T.Nagar. Most people know where this is because T.Nagar is always so crowded with shoppers and cars. Our school has been part of this neighborhood for a long time now. Every morning, the gates open and the street gets quite busy with parents dropping off their children. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we manage. Inside the walls, it is a different world from the noisy market outside. We have our classrooms and the playground where the noise is just kids playing instead of horns honking. The staff here mostly live nearby, so we know the local shops and the shortcuts to avoid the traffic on the main road. Some days are long, especially when exams are coming up or when we have an event that needs everyone to stay late. We don't have fancy carpets or anything like that. It’s just desks, boards, and lots of books. The building shows its age in some spots, but it feels like home to those of us who spend all day here. You might see us walking down the road to get tea during a break. We just try to get through the lessons and make sure the students learn what they need for the year. It is a simple life at Vidyodaya School, really. We just keep things moving along one day at a time.
