Vana Vani Matriculation Higher Secondary School is located right inside the IIT campus. It’s a unique spot because we are surrounded by all the greenery and the quiet atmosphere of the institute. Because we are on the campus, the environment is very different from a typical school on a busy city street. We have a lot of space, and the air feels a bit fresher with all the trees around us. The school has been here for a long time, serving both the children of the people who work at IIT and families from the surrounding areas. We have buildings for the primary sections and separate ones for the older students in higher secondary. It’s a big place, and it takes a while to walk from one end to the other. Our teachers are often people who have stayed with the school for decades. We follow the matriculation system and keep a pretty steady academic schedule. There are plenty of playgrounds and open spaces for sports, which the kids really take advantage of during their breaks. It doesn't feel like a corporate school at all; it has a very institutional, established vibe to it. We don't spend money on big advertisements because the school's presence on the campus is well known. Every morning, you see students walking or cycling through the leafy paths to get to class. It’s a very calm and practical place to be for everyone involved in the daily school life.
