St Anthonys is over here in Ranga Nagar on the 3rd Main Road. If you know K K Nagar, you know it gets quite crowded around 8:30 in the morning. That’s when most of the kids start showing up. Some of them come by the yellow vans and others just walk from the houses nearby. The building isn't anything fancy, just a regular place where we have classes. Usually, the teachers are busy with their registers and making sure the chalk is stocked up. You can hear the rhymes being chanted from the younger classes if you stand near the front gate. During the break, it gets really loud with everyone running around the small open space we have. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many children, there is always a bit of dust or paper around. The 3rd Main Road has a few shops nearby, so parents often stop to get milk or bread after dropping the kids off. It’s a simple routine we’ve had for a long time. In the afternoons, when the bell rings, the whole street fills up again. Sometimes the auto-drivers park right in front of the gate, which makes it a bit of a mess to get out. But that’s just how it is in this part of town. We just focus on getting through the lessons and making sure everyone is where they need to be. It’s just a local school doing its thing. It isn't a place with big statues or expensive fountains, just bricks and mortar and children.
