Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School

We are located at 9/21 Vasantha Press Road in Adyar. It’s a nice enough spot, close to a lot of trees and the usual residential quiet of this side of town. The school building has a very familiar look to anyone who grew up around here. It’s not one of those brand-new steel and glass structures; it’s more traditional, with wide corridors and heavy wooden doors in some parts. Every morning, the street gets a bit blocked up with parents dropping kids off, which is just part of the daily routine. Inside, it’s a mix of old-fashioned vibes and the usual clutter you find in a busy school. There are always stacks of notebooks in the office and the sound of chalk on boards coming from the rooms. The staffroom is usually full of teachers talking about the next exam or what happened in class. We don’t have fancy lounges or anything like that. It’s just a place where work gets done. Adyar is a place that values education, and we’ve been here in the middle of it for quite some time. You can see the history in the way the stairs are worn down in the middle from years of feet walking up and down. It’s a comfortable place, really. Nothing too flashy, just a school that serves the people living around Vasantha Press Road and the nearby lanes.
