Sishya School

We are situated at 2/305 on Rajiv Gandhi Salai, better known as OMR Road, right in the Thoraipakkam area of Chennai. Since we are on the OMR, there is always a lot of traffic and many tall IT buildings around us. It is a modern part of the city, but inside our walls, we try to keep things grounded and simple. The school grounds are a decent size considering where we are located in such a crowded city. We have several blocks for different grades. It is a busy place with a lot of students coming from the various residential colonies nearby. The teachers here have their hands full, but they seem to enjoy the daily work. We have a lot of classrooms, and they are usually full throughout the day. The noise of the city is always there in the background, but you get used to it after a while. We have the standard facilities like a library and some labs for the science classes. It is not a place of luxury, just a regular school where kids come to get through their lessons and grow up. During the monsoon, the road outside can get a bit flooded, which makes the morning commute a bit of a headache for everyone involved. But we just open the gates and get on with the day's schedule. Most of the families who send their kids here live in the nearby apartments.
