Second Flush Llp is our small business in Gopalapuram, Chennai. We are located at 179 Lloyds Road. The name refers to tea, which is what we spend most of our time dealing with. Our office is in an old building that has been around for decades. It has high ceilings and big windows that let in the dust from the road. Inside, it usually smells like various types of dried tea leaves. We have a few wooden tables where we sit and sort through samples that come in from the estates. It is not a high-tech operation. We still use a lot of paper for our records. Most of our day is spent on the phone talking to suppliers or checking on shipments at the port. Sometimes the tea does not show up on time and we have to explain it to our regular buyers. We do not have a showroom for people to visit. It is more of a workspace where we get things done. We drink a lot of tea ourselves, mostly to test the quality but also because we like it. It is a quiet business compared to the shops on the main road. We are just a few people who know about tea and want to sell it without making a big fuss. It is a simple way to earn a living. We enjoy the smell of the leaves.
