We’re located over in Mylapore at number 13 on Muthu Pandian Avenue. Being in the Santhome area means there is always something happening around us, from church bells to the sound of local traffic. We’ve been running this cafe for a while and it’s a pretty straightforward operation for our small team. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles or expensive decorations. We just focus on getting the drinks ready and making sure the place is open when we say it will be. The building is an old one, which is typical for this part of the city, and it has its own character. We spend a lot of time just keeping things organized and talking to the folks who walk in off the street. It’s a mix of students, office workers, and people just visiting the area. We aren’t trying to be the trendiest spot in town or anything like that. We just like having a place where people can get what they need and go about their day. Some days the humidity in Mylapore really gets to us, but we keep the fans going and stay busy. We handle everything from the cleaning to the paperwork ourselves without much help. There’s no big corporate office telling us how to brew every cup. It’s just us trying to make it work on Muthu Pandian Avenue. We’ve got a routine that seems to work for everyone. It’s just a plain, honest place to grab a coffee and sit for a minute.
