You can find us at No 184, Thambu Chetty Street in Parrys. Ess Vee Coffees has been around this part of Chennai for a while. It’s a tight street, like most of Parrys, but it’s got a lot of character. We deal in coffee, obviously. The smell in the shop is usually the best part of the day. We don’t have a massive polished storefront with glass walls. It’s more of a traditional setup. We spend our time roasting and packing. Thambu Chetty Street is always moving, people everywhere. We like the energy of it. We aren't trying to be some trendy cafe chain. We just provide coffee to people who want a good cup. The space is a bit cramped with sacks of beans sometimes, but we manage. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just get the coffee ready. If you’re walking down through Parrys, you might miss us if you’re not looking, but once you find 184, you’re there. It’s an old building, but it’s sturdy. We’ve got our regulars who come by, and we like it that way. No corporate manual here, just us and the coffee beans. It’s a simple life on a busy street. We focus on the roast and making sure the bags are sealed right. That’s all there is to it. People like the consistency, and we like the routine of the shop.
