Sboa Matriculation Secondary School

We are tucked away in I Block on 29th Street in the Anna Nagar area of Chennai. The school building is at AP 305 and has been part of this neighborhood for many years now. If you walk down the street in the morning, you’ll hear the sounds of students arriving and the general bustle of a school day starting up. It’s a typical Chennai setting with the sun beating down on the playground and the trees providing whatever shade they can. Inside the office, the walls are lined with old photos and various notices pinned up on corkboards. The staff room is always a bit chaotic with teachers grading papers and planning their next classes over a cup of tea. We don't have the kind of polished, modern look that some of the newer private schools have, but our building has a lot of history and character. The hallways are narrow and the stairs are worn down from years of footsteps. It’s a busy place, especially when parents come in to talk about their children’s progress or to settle fees. We just focus on the daily routine of bells, lessons, and lunch breaks. Everyone here knows their role and we just get on with it, making sure the kids are where they are supposed to be and that the school stays running properly day after day. It’s just how we do things here in this part of Chennai.
