S B O A School & Junior College

Annanagar Western Extension is a big place, and we occupy a good chunk of it. People around here know the school well because it’s been a landmark for quite some time. The campus is pretty large, so we do a lot of walking from one end to the other. In the mornings, the streets around the school get really crowded with buses and cars. It is a bit of a struggle to get through the gates sometimes. Once you’re inside, though, it feels a bit more organized. We have different blocks for the school and the junior college, so there is always a mix of younger kids and teenagers around. The buildings are solid and made of brick and concrete. We have a lot of stairs to climb every day. The office is always a hive of activity with people coming in to ask about forms or fees. We have a lot of ceiling fans that hum constantly to keep the heat away. It’s not a quiet place by any means. Between the bells and the students talking, there is always some noise. We try to keep the place looking decent, but with so many people passing through, it’s a constant job. The staff takes their tea breaks together when we can find the time. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the school stays much the same. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real place to spend the day.
