P S Senior Secondary School is right in the heart of Mylapore, specifically at 15 Alarmelmangapuram. If you know Mylapore, you know the streets are narrow and always buzzing with people. Our school is tucked into one of these busy lanes. It’s an old part of the city, and our building definitely reflects that. There’s a lot of history here, but it’s not something we talk about in a fancy way. It’s just how it is. The mornings are always a bit chaotic with the traffic and the temple bells nearby. Once you get inside the gates, it feels a bit more organized, though it’s never truly quiet. We have a lot of students packed into the classrooms, and the corridors are always full of life. The heat in Chennai can be tough, so we rely on the old ceiling fans and high ceilings to keep things moving. We don't have a lot of modern bells and whistles. It’s mostly just desks, books, and teachers who have been here for decades. People in the area know us as a place that’s been around forever. We spend a lot of time just managing the flow of people and making sure the day goes by without any major hitches. It’s a very busy, very real environment. We are proud of being part of Mylapore’s history, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint every now and then.
