Olive Public School

Olive Public School is located right at 1, 2nd Main Road in Sarvamangala Nagar. We are based in the Chitlapakkam area, which is a nice spot for a school. The building is easy to spot once you get onto the second main road. We have a mix of staff here, some who live just a few blocks away. It’s a regular school day for us, starting early and ending in the afternoon. We don’t have fancy carpets or glass walls. It’s just concrete, desks, and a lot of books. The kids keep us on our toes, especially the younger ones who always have something to say. We try to keep the hallways clear, though bags and shoes often end up where they shouldn't be. The playground gets a lot of use, and you can usually hear the shouting from the street. We’ve had to fix the gate a couple of times because of how much it gets used. It's a busy life running a school in Chitlapakkam. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for students to come and learn their subjects. The sun hits the front of the building in the afternoon, making it quite warm, but we have enough fans going to keep it okay. It’s just a practical, local school for the families around here. We just take things one day at a time.
